Celle (dpa / lni) - The man who died after a fire in an empty building on the premises of the Celle freight yard was 20 to 30 years old.
That was the preliminary result of forensic medicine, said a spokesman for the prosecutor on Monday.
The man's identity has not yet been established.
He was still alive when the fire broke out on Thursday night and died as a result of severe smoke inhalation.
Whether the building served him as a place to sleep is the subject of the investigation.
Because of previous arson attacks, police officers searched the surrounding area for possible suspects and found four suspicious young people between the ages of 15 and 18 near the scene of the fire.
You have been provisionally arrested.
Investigations are ongoing on suspicion of serious arson resulting in death.
