Bad Ems (dpa / lrs) - All five daycare centers in Bad Ems were closed on Monday after a corona outbreak.

The reopening is planned for March 5, as the district administration announced.

The two primary schools continue to focus on distance learning.

The Ministry of Education in Mainz announced that they did not start the alternating classes on Monday because of the infection situation.

Two of the five day care centers are "massively affected by infections with mutated SARS-CoV-2 pathogens," says the district administration's announcement.

In both cases, educators, supervised children and family members are infected.

The daycare centers were only open for regular operations when there was an urgent need.
