RIA Novosti informs about it with reference to the Department of Emergency Situations of the North Kazakhstan region.

"An explosion in a five-story building, on the first floor, one victim, a young man, his identity is being established, 13 people were hospitalized from the scene, someone has already been released," the department said. 

As explained in the press service of the department, there was an explosion of a gas cylinder.

Later, the Emergencies Ministry said that the death toll had risen to two.

Rescuers removed the woman's body from the rubble.

In November, it was reported that eight people were injured in an explosion of a gas cylinder in a private residential building in the village of Erkin in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan.
