Kiel (dpa / lno) - The Bundesliga handball players at THW Kiel have come out of the quarantine break with a partial success.

After two weeks in isolation and only one training session, the “zebras” parted from SC Magdeburg on Sunday at 24:24 (11:14).

With eight hits each, the Swedes Niclas Ekberg for Kiel and Daniel Pettersson for Magdeburg were the most successful throwers.

Both teams could rely on their goalkeepers in the early stages.

Niklas Landin in the THW gate and his Danish compatriot Jannick Green in the SCM housing showed strong parades.

Towards the end of the first half, the guests took over the command.

With a one-two punch, right-winger Pettersson gave Magdeburg a 9: 7 lead (19th).

In the 52nd minute, SCM player Piotr Chrapkowski saw the red card after a foul on THW playmaker Domagoj Duvnjak.

The referees mistakenly disqualified Christian O'Sullivan first.

In the last second, Harald Reinkind had the chance to score the winner in Kiel.

The direct free throw by the Norwegian remained in the Magdeburg block.
