Since February 8, the opposition no longer recognizes the legitimacy of the outgoing president, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, known as "Farmajo", after the expiration of his official mandate and the postponement of the presidential election.

The pressure is growing a little more every day on President Farmajo.

The coalition of his main rivals in the presidential election, including two of his predecessors, are now calling for his exclusion from any future negotiations on the electoral process.

Still united in their radicalism, in a letter to the British ambassador to the UN on Sunday, they say that "

 confidence is broken

 ", especially after the armed clashes on Friday, about which they accuse Farmajo of having tried to murdering several of them and wanting to "

 use military force to illegally maintain power 

".

The president of the powerful semi-autonomous state of Puntland meanwhile made a long televised speech on the political situation on Sunday evening, calling on Somalis to reject "

 dictatorship 

".

Earlier, the strategic state of Jubaland, bordering Kenya, had urged Farmajo to apologize for 

 Friday's “

attack

” and officially requested that he not be involved in the future electoral process.

It is on this impasse that in New York, the UN special envoy James Swan and the African Union representative Francisco Madeira will give an update on Monday, addressed to the members of the Security Council.

And after the UN, AU, Igad and the United States, Turkey, one of Somalia's main donors, on Sunday expressed its " 

concern 

" and calls on political actors to resolve their issue peacefully. dispute.
