More than 5 billion dirhams total deals on the first day of "IDEX"

The first day of "IDEX" and "NAVDEX" exhibitions 2021 witnessed the UAE Armed Forces announcing the signing of 19 deals worth 5,030 billion dirhams with local and international companies, in conjunction with the launch of the two exhibitions activities today and continues until February 25.

The official spokesperson for IDEX and NAVDEX, Brigadier General Muhammad Khamis Al-Hassani, said that the total foreign deals amounted to 1.091 billion dirhams, which represents 22% of the total value of deals, while the value of local deals reached 3.939 billion dirhams, or 78%. The foreign contracts were distributed to 7 foreign companies and 12 local companies.

The spokesperson for the exhibitors, Brigadier General Fahad Nasser Al-Dhahly, said that the most prominent deals that were concluded included a contract with "Calidus Aerospace - Sole Proprietorship" to purchase 12 B-250 Badr aircraft at a value of 1.697 billion dirhams .. The Armed Forces also contracted with a company. International Golden Group "to buy ammunition and weapons worth 689 million dirhams, in addition to buying cars and machinery from Nimr Motors, at a value of more than 230 million dirhams.

Al-Dhahli pointed out that the local deals included a contract with Al-Masoud Company to supply spare parts and maintenance work for a Leclerc tank and Oshkosh spare parts for general maintenance at a value of 250 million dirhams, and a Global Aerospace Logistics Company to provide technical support services for the air navigation system for the joint aviation command, at a value of 410 million dirhams. Millions of dirhams, and a contract with Bin Hilal to supply spare parts, repair and technical support, worth 45 million dirhams.
