Handball: Hannover defeated Nordhorn in the Lower Saxony duel

Hannover / Nordhorn (dpa / lni) - TSV Hannover-Burgdorf has clearly won the Lower Saxony duel against HSG Nordhorn-Lingen.

The hosts won on Sunday by 31:22 (18:14) and thus celebrated their first victory of the year.

Previously, Hannover had lost three games in a row, the victory prevented the team of coach Carlos Ortega from slipping into the table cellar of the handball Bundesliga.

The home team's best thrower was Vincent Büchner with six hits.

Robert Weber scored five goals among the overall disappointing guests.

For HSG Nordhorn-Lingen, the defeat meant a setback in the fight to stay up.
