Di Maio, appeal to the pentastellati: the Movement must not split

February 21, 2021 A strong call for unity in the M5s comes from Luigi Di Maio through a direct Facebook.

"We don't have to split," he said.

And he defended the Movement's commitment through a government of national unity to "defend the laws" promoted and approved by the 5s and "bring other results, such as lowering taxes to businesses, digitization, the ecological transition".

He then reiterated his "yes" to Draghi for spending the resources of the Recovery Fund.

Regarding his role in the government, he clarified: “I learned that I had been reconfirmed as minister a quarter of an hour before Draghi spoke.

I did not vote yes to this executive for something in return ”.

Di Maio focused on the health emergency: "We are orbiting around the dramatic quota of 95 thousand victims. The world has been on its knees for a year." On the 

former premier Giuseppe Conte reiterated that it is only a goodbye: "I hope that the M5s can welcome him with open arms as soon as possible. It is said that people judge themselves when they leave. I want to thank Conte for the refinement he had in his exit ".

And on the ministry of ecological transition, Di Maio explained: "The reorganization of the competences between environment and economic development, which will give life to the ministry of ecological transition, at the center of the M5s fibrillation, is an unpublished decree that will be approved in the CDM and will allow us to give skills that were not there before in this country ".

"So whoever tells you that President Draghi had to read the super-ministry in the list of ministers when he came out of the meeting with President Mattarella is lying to you, because a decree must be made".

On Facebook Grillo spoke about the mayor of the capital: "Rome still needs you. Who is with Virginia, is with the Movement".
