The Hebrew state, which has already vaccinated nearly half of its population, is gradually returning to normal life.

Sports halls, shows, and soon restaurants ... From Tel Aviv, blogger Julien Bahloul testified Sunday at the microphone of Europe 1, Sunday, the relief to find little by little life before.

TESTIMONY

When it comes to vaccination, Israel is by far the most advanced country.

Since December 19, and thanks to an agreement with the giant Pfizer allowing the Hebrew state to quickly obtain millions of doses in exchange for biomedical data on the effect of the vaccine, nearly half (49% ) of the Israeli population has received at least one injection.

One in three Israelis (33%) even received the second dose, and life is gradually returning to normal.

Julien Bahloul, blogger and former journalist, based in Tel Aviv, testified, Sunday on Europe 1, of this feeling of "relief" and "return to life".

"We feel safe"

"I have just left the gym, where I have not been able to go for five months," says Julien Bahloul, cured of Covid-19 and having received his first dose of the vaccine.

So far, 4.25 million people in Israel (out of a population of nine million) have received the first dose of the vaccine, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health.

Of these, 2.88 million received the necessary second dose.

"In the application of my gym, it was enough to download our 'green passport' or 'green label' in my profile of the application and when I passed my magnetic card at the entrance, it appeared on the reception computer that I was vaccinated and cured, and therefore that I could return ".

A reassuring process.

"In Israel, quarantines are extremely violent, we are controlled by the police, we are tracked by GPS on our phones if we are next to a coronavirus patient," explains Julien Bahloul, who explains that he was afraid of the entrance to the sports halls when they were briefly reopened last summer.

"Today, we go there and we feel safe because we are only between healed and vaccinated".

Last summer when the gyms were open I had every time I went there that I was worried that a #corona patient would be there without him knowing he was sick.

What a pleasure today to be safe between vaccinated and cured #PasseportVaccinal https://t.co/1yWWV1TKbT

Willingness to cooperate, to participate

Culture is coming back to life too.

Stopped, as in France, since March 2020, shows are finally resuming in Israel.

"Tonight, I'm going to see an Israeli comedian's show," enthuses Julien Bahloul, adding that the tickets sold out in just a few minutes.

The restaurants will reopen in early March.

"It's being done little by little," explains Julien Bahloul who is delighted with this "return to life".

In all cases, he notes a real desire to cooperate, to participate in the common effort.

"We understood that this was the only way out."
