February 21, 2021 Impressive images are those of the accident that occurred, fortunately without consequences, to a United Airlines aircraft over the skies of Colorado.

After suffering a right engine failure, the plane landed safely at Denver International Airport.

The plane, a Boeing 777-200, with 231 passengers and 10 crew members, was on its way to Honolulu.

There have been no reports of injuries, either on the plane or on the ground.

A video made from inside the plane showed an engine on fire.

Images posted by police in Broomfield, Colorado show debris from the plane, including a metal ring part of the engine cowling, which crashed to the ground just missing a home.

The 26-year-old 777 was powered by two Pratt & WhitneyPW4000 engines.

Investigators will focus on what caused the engine to fail on the plane and check to see if a fan blade has failed.

Boeing declined to comment.

In February 2018, another old United-operated Boeing 777 headed to Honolulu suffered an engine failure when a hood fell off about 30 minutes before the plane landed.

Also in that case the landing took place without consequences for passengers and crew.
