Hamburg (dpa) - Thanks to Guido Burgstaller and good luck, FC St. Pauli has continued its triumphant advance in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Against Darmstadt 98, the Kiezkicker prevailed 3: 2 (1: 0) on Saturday and celebrated their fourth success in a row.

Burgstaller (26th / 82nd minute) with his seven and eighth goals of the season and Omar Marmoush (62nd) scored for the Kiezkicker, who will go into the city derby on March 1st (8.30pm / Sky) against HSV.

Tim Skarke (64th) and Serdar Dursun (66th / 10th goal of the season) met for the strong Darmstadt team.

After five three-pointers from the last six games, the Kiezclub, which had played with the successful eleven of the previous weeks, proved to be very efficient again.

Burgstaller, who could have scored after just two minutes, dusted off a shot that was too short blocked by goalkeeper Marcel Schschuhe to take the lead.

Burgstaller scored in the seventh game in a row - that's a club record.

Except for Marvin Mehlem's shot (45th + 1), the guests hardly appeared offensively at first.

That changed after the break.

Tobias Kempe (47th) chased a free kick against the crossbar, Dursun failed to keeper Dejan Stojanovic (50th).

Marmoush, who had missed a huge chance shortly before (58th), answered to 2-0, but Skarke and Dursun made it 2-2 within just four minutes.

After a counterattack, Burgstaller scored the victory, who was still in danger with Dursun's picket header (86th) and Sebastian Ohlsson's double rescue act on the line (90th + 4).
