Today, Saturday, in Libya, communications and consultations began to approve a unified budget for the country, amid intensifying efforts to implement the outcomes of the political dialogue that led to the formation of a temporary authority, whose mission is to work to unify all state institutions and organize presidential and legislative elections before the end of the year.

The Vice President of the Presidency Council of the Libyan Government of National Accord Ahmad Maitiq and Finance Minister Faraj Boumtari arrived in the eastern city of Al-Bayda to participate in approving a unified budget.

"I arrived with Finance Minister Faraj Boumtari a short while ago to Al-Abraq Airport to participate in approving a unified budget, and then we will meet the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives (Tobruk) Aqila Saleh," Maitiq said on his Facebook page.

Steps to implement the outcomes of the political dialogue continue in Libya, amid rising hopes for the unification of the country, after years of fighting and power struggles between two governments and parliaments.

On Friday, the head of the national unity government, Eng. Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, visited Tobruk to discuss the procedures for forming the government.

Dabaiba's spokesman, Mohamed Hammouda, said that the latter held talks in Tobruk with the Speaker of the Tobruk Parliament, Aqeelah Saleh, that dealt with the file of forming the new government, without giving further details.

According to the outcomes of the Geneva Dialogue, Dabaiba still has about a week to present his cabinet to the House of Representatives in order to give it confidence, and in the event that this is not possible, it will be presented to the Forum for Political Dialogue.
