Los Angeles (AP) - In Italy they celebrated a dream wedding almost seven years ago - now Kim Kardashian (40) and Kanye West (43) are about to end their marriage.
The US reality star has filed for divorce from the rapper ("Jesus is King").
The application was received by the Superior Court in Los Angeles on Friday, said an employee of the court of the German Press Agency.
Kardashian's spokeswoman, Christy Welder, confirmed to USA Today that the divorce petition had been filed.
The West spokesperson team initially did not respond to inquiries.
There was also radio silence on the social media of the parents of four.
Kardashian and West, nicknamed “Kimye”, have four children: the eldest daughter North is seven years old, followed by son Saint (5), daughter Chicago (3) and son Psalm, who will turn two in May.

The celebrity portal "TMZ.com" reported on Friday that Kardashian turned on divorce expert Laura Wasser.
The celebrity lawyer stood by the TV star's second divorce from athlete Kris Humphries.
In 2011, she was married to the professional basketball player for just 72 days.
Between 2000 and 2004, Kardashian was married to music producer Damon Thomas.
The relationship with West made headlines from the start.
In 2013, on Kim's 33rd birthday, the musician asked for her hand in a sports stadium in San Francisco.
