Gelsenkirchen (dpa) - Newcomer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar expects a longer break after his fiber tear, but is still striving for the fastest possible recovery.

"The pressure is there, I want to be back on the field as soon as possible," said the 37-year-old Dutchman on Saturday evening before the FC Schalke Revierderby in the Bundesliga against Borussia Dortmund on Sky TV.

"Now with the fiber tear I have to wait a little longer, but I hope it will be done as soon as possible," added the attacker.

The Bundesliga last announced on Wednesday that Huntelaar would not be available to the club in the relegation battle for the time being.

The striker, who only returned from Ajax Amsterdam in mid-January and has only been on a brief assignment since then, will be completing individual training for the time being due to muscular problems.

"I give everything for it, I'm positive," said the Dutchman about his comeback plans.
