Frankfurt / Main (AP) - President Peter Fischer of the Bundesliga soccer club Eintracht Frankfurt hopes that sports director Fredi Bobic will continue to stay with the traditional club.

«Fredi has a contract.

I am someone who attaches great importance to contractual compliance.

I think we have a relationship like that too.

We had an open, very collegial, very clean and successful relationship for five years, ”said Fischer on Saturday TV broadcaster Sky.

Bobic (49), who is responsible for some top transfers and successes in Frankfurt, was most recently brought into play at Hertha BSC as the successor to Michael Preetz for the post of sports director.

Bobic, who has not wanted to participate in the speculation so far, still has a contract with Eintracht until summer 2023. He played at Hertha BSC from 2003 to 2005 and is still a member.

Bobic also has a house in Berlin.

Fischer is aware that there is interest in Bobic.

“We know one thing: you have a good center forward who scores 18 goals, or you have a sports director.

That's the way it is.

Desires come.

We see that almost every week in the Bundesliga, ”said the 64-year-old club boss.
