Hamburg / Essen (dpa) - The songwriter Stefan Stoppok celebrates his 65th birthday on Sunday with a live streaming concert.

Numerous well-known musicians are there, including Wolfgang Niedecken, Inga Rumpf, Hannes Ringlstetter, Axel Prahl and Reinhard Mey.

The singer-songwriter said in an announcement video that he himself will be live on stage with some colleagues on Sunday evening in the Politburo in Hamburg.

Many other artists are to be included.

"It will be a fat, colorful program with a lot of artists and a lot of music - at least three hours," said Stoppok.

The Hamburger also has international artists such as You & I from India on his guest list.

The concert would support the crew, band, organizers, film team and many more.

And: Everyone would at least get something of the feeling that we all miss: the bond through music!

Feeling and celebrating with one another. "

The concert will be streamed via the Vimeo platform.

Tickets must be purchased in advance.

The songwriter, folk and rock musician Stoppok has been making music for more than four decades.

With his 18th studio album “Jubel” he made it to position four in the charts in 2020, the highest chart entry of his career and his debut in the top ten.

The artist, who was born in Hamburg and grew up in Essen, received a shit storm on YouTube for his preliminary single “Lass sie rein”: the song and video are a statement for sea rescue in the Mediterranean.
