Kiel (dpa / lno) - The seven-day incidence in Schleswig-Holstein and the number of reported new corona infections have increased slightly.

276 new cases were reported within 24 hours, according to data published by the Ministry of Health in Kiel on Friday (data status: February 19, 8:15 p.m.).

This is the highest value this week - and more than the previous Friday with 211 confirmed new corona infections.

There were 50.4 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days.

On Thursday the value was 48.6;

on Friday last week it was still at 60.0.

The target for the next opening steps is 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.

The number of coronavirus-related deaths rose by 8 to 1206. 40,788 people have been shown to have been infected with the virus since the outbreak of the pandemic in Schleswig-Holstein.

According to the information, 359 corona patients are currently being treated in hospitals in Schleswig-Holstein.

74 of them are receiving intensive care, 43 with ventilation.
