New York / London (dpa) - He has never been happier to have to stand in line, commented the actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Actor Sean Penn also described himself as a "happy man", and colleague Jane Fonda assured: "It doesn't hurt."

The three Hollywood stars are among the first celebrities who have already received a corona vaccination in the USA - and then reported on it on social media.

The USA has been vaccinated since December.

Residents of old people's and nursing homes and medical staff have the highest priority, but the requirements differ from state to state and in many places people who have reached a certain age can do certain other activities or have certain pre-existing conditions, get the vaccination - and that also count many stars.

According to the CDC, more than one in ten Americans has already received at least one dose of vaccine.

"A light at the end of the tunnel after a year of self-imposed quarantine," wrote 83-year-old actor Anthony Hopkins and added a photo showing him being vaccinated in Los Angeles.

The celebrities already vaccinated in the USA include comedian Steve Martin, country singer Loretta Lynn, musician Tony Bennett, actors Patrick Stewart, Samuel Jackson, Harrison Ford, Billy Crystal and Jeff Goldblum, Beach Boys musician Brian Wilson and Ex -Model Christie Brinkley.

Many of them took the opportunity to use social media to encourage fans to get vaccinated.

Great Britain is still further.

Well over a quarter of adults here have already received their first dose, including many celebrities.

In mid-December, "Gandalf" actor Ian McKellen was one of the first.

He felt "euphoric," said the 81-year-old afterwards.

Joan Collins (“The Denver Clan”) received her first syringe the same day as Queen Elizabeth II. A fan commented on Collins' Instagram post (“Painless and Smooth”): “How fitting that two queens gave her (the syringe ) on the same day. "

Oscar winner Judi Dench was also there.

In the latest commercial of the British health service NHS, two greats of the show call for vaccinations with a wink.

Musician Elton John and actor Michael Caine “apply” in the clip for a role in the vaccination advertisement.

"It didn't hurt," says Caine calmly - and from the off you can hear the "director" shouting: "Let the other guy know he didn't get the job."

Stars have also been hired in the USA so that they can use their level of awareness to dispel reservations about vaccination among the many people they reach through it - such as actor and director Tyler Perry.

In order to inform the African-American population in particular, Perry volunteered for an information broadcast on BET (Black Entertainment Television) after he had been vaccinated himself.

"I think that's what it's about, education and information," said Perry.

At first, he did not trust the vaccine.

But then he decided to get the vaccination as soon as experts answered his questions.

At the same time, some stars stress that they did not receive a special celebrity bonus, but made an appointment as normal and waited in line with everyone else.

“To allay your concerns that I might have pushed my way, I'm in the approved age group and have waited with others,” wrote 79-year-old TV chef Martha Stewart.

So far, no US celebrity has publicly spoken out against the vaccination, but some have at least let slight reservations shine through.

For example, the “Black Panther” actress Letitia Wright shared a video critical of the vaccination on Twitter.

She only wanted to express her concern, "about what is in the vaccine and what we put into our bodies," she then defended against protests against the video.

"Grease" actress Olivia Newton-John recently said briefly in an interview with an Australian newspaper that she did not intend to be vaccinated.
