Berlin (AP) - Nothing stands in the way of Max Kruse's comeback for Union Berlin after an eleven-week injury break.

The 32-year-old attacking star is part of the Bundesliga team that traveled to the away game at SC Freiburg on Friday.

Kruse had torn a muscle bundle in his thigh at the beginning of December and has had to pause since then.

Trainer Urs Fischer emphasized on Thursday that a cadre nomination would be made shortly before departure.

A starting eleven is still excluded.

According to dpa information, goalkeeper Andreas Luthe did not start the trip with the team to Freiburg.

All signs indicate that on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky) in Freiburg Loris Karius will again be in the iron gate.

Regular goalkeeper Luthe had already been unable to play the game against Schalke 04 (0-0) last Saturday for private reasons.
