Meppen (dpa) - The successful streak of Halleschen FC is broken.

After the last five games in a row without defeat, the protégés of coach Florian Schnorrenberg lost their guest appearance at SV Meppen 1: 2 (1: 1) on Friday.

Previously, the Saalestädter had last missed out on January 16 in the 0: 4 against the second team of Bayern Munich.

After the early deficit by Hassan Amin (10th), the guests managed to equalize with Michael Eberwein (43rd) before the break.

Tom Boere scored the decisive goal in the 71st minute for the Emsländer, who celebrated a win against HFC for the first time in the third division.

The hosts took the first chance to lead.

After a diagonal pass, Amin was completely free and gave Kai Eisele no chance.

After that, the home side were much closer to 2-0 than the Halle team to equalize.

Luka Tankulic (14th) pushed the ball past the empty goal.

Eisele reacted brilliantly to shots from Boere (24th) and Tankulic (29th).

The compensation fell in a curious way.

The Meppener Jeron Al-Hazaimeh had stopped playing in his own penalty area because of the injured on the ground Terrence Boyd.

Braydon Manu grabbed the ball and laid it across to Eberwein, who scored his second goal of the season from 15 meters.

In the second half, both teams neutralized each other for a long time.

Goal area scenes remained in short supply before the home side showed a little stronger.

After Boere hit the post in the 70th minute, he scored the winning goal for Meppen a minute later.

The guests tried to equalize again.

The best opportunity had Antonios Papadopoulos (73.), whose long-range shot hit the bar on the home side.
