Hamburg (AP) - The Bundesliga handball players of Buxtehuder SV have not been able to end the winning streak of title favorite Borussia Dortmund.

On Friday evening, coach Dirk Leun's team lost to the front runner in Oldenburg with 21:28 (12:12).

It was the ninth loss of the season for BSV, while Dortmund celebrated their 18th victory in their 18th game.

The Buxtehuds' best thrower was Lone Fischer, who scored five goals.

Because of a live broadcast on Eurosport, the game took place in the EWE Arena.

The decision was made in the middle of the second half.

Buxtehude, who had defeated BVB in the second round of the cup, gave up a 16:14 lead.

With eight goals in a row within just ten minutes, the guests pulled away at 22:16.

After that, the Buxtehudians lacked the means to turn the tide again, even if the Leun team was able to reduce the deficit to five goals just under ten minutes before the end.
