He was lying in the grass, between two buildings.

Thursday evening, around 6 p.m., the lifeless body of a young man was found by the police and firefighters, rue Viviani on the island of Nantes.

The victim, an 18-year-old student at the nearby Nelson-Mandela High School, was quickly identified thanks to his personal effects but an investigation was opened to determine the cause of his death.

The prosecution requested an examination of the body.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the death would be consecutive to a fall.

"A hatch to visit a scaffolding was open suggesting that the young man rushed into the void of the 5th floor," said the police on Friday.
