Nordwalde (dpa / lnw) - A drunk truck driver got off the road with his truck in Nordwalde in the Steinfurt district.
According to the police on Thursday, the 55-year-old was seriously injured.
The driver had driven straight through a roundabout, turned off the road, and then pulled into an embankment.
The front of the tractor was dented.
Because the man looked heavily drunk to the police, he had to take a breath alcohol test on site, according to the notification.
Result: 3.7 per mille.
The police estimate the damage of the incident on Wednesday evening at around 15,000 euros.
