Planning is underway around the country to cope with large-scale vaccination when everyone who does not belong to the risk group is to receive their doses.

The Stockholm Region includes 1.4 million people within the framework of phase 4, which it hopes to be able to start in the spring.

According to vaccine coordinator Magnus Thyberg, most of the region's capacity will be used.

- From April onwards, we hope to be able to start this up on a certain scale, says Magnus Thyberg.

- The general public will not be vaccinated in hospitals, it will be in health centers or special clinics for vaccination, he says.

About 400 vaccination sites

Will it be possible to get vaccinated at shopping malls and the like?

- Yes, we definitely think so.

Care choice vaccination has very many players and among them there is vaccination at many of the region's pharmacies.

We would like to see it used.

Booking or drop-in?

- Booking is a way to avoid congestion and infection.

Therefore, we are now developing a booking system where you should be able to book at all vaccination clinics.

- In our database, we have up to 400 players and places that we want to use as much as we can.

Takes help from private companies

In Västra Götaland, 800,000 people will be vaccinated during phase 4, including at the region's care clinics and via occupational health care.

The premises to be used, as well as when the vaccine phase will begin, are not specified.

- In addition to these, we will procure external vaccinators who currently do not have assignments within Vårdval Vårdcentral, which will thus help, says the region's vaccine coordinator Kristine Rygge.

Skåne: Starts in May

Region Skåne has signed agreements with 17 care companies that will begin vaccination when it is the turn of the general public.

470,000 people from Skåne are included in phase 4, which will start in May.

The plan is for 70 percent to be offered a first dose before the end of June, but the region has flagged that it will not achieve the goal if deliveries are not speeded up.

- Everything is completely controlled by the availability of vaccines, says Lars Kristensson, head of administration for Medical Services in Region Skåne.
