The Thai government has always provided support for research and development, hoping to develop a new crown vaccine as soon as possible to ensure the health and safety of the people, enhance the stability of the public health system, and reduce dependence on foreign vaccines.

According to Sutipeng, after the project's research and development team injected the monkey with the second test vaccine, the monkey produced antibodies and was in good health. Therefore, it will be put into human testing next.

At present, the R&D team has prepared vaccination sites, medical staff, and related staff for volunteers who voluntarily apply for vaccination. It is expected that trials will be launched at the end of April or early May.

It is understood that "ChulaCov19" is an mRNA type vaccine.

In addition to this vaccine, relevant Thai institutions are also developing several prototype vaccines such as DNA vaccines, protein subunit vaccines, and inactivated vaccines.

While independent research and development, Thailand is also actively purchasing vaccines from abroad.

The Thai government previously stated that it will purchase at least 63 million vaccines within this year to vaccinate more than half of its citizens. The first batch of 200,000 vaccines from China will arrive in Thailand within this month.
