Kiel (dpa / lno) - The seven-day incidence in Schleswig-Holstein has fallen below 50.

There were 48.6 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days, according to data published by the Ministry of Health in Kiel on Thursday (data status: February 18, 8:02 p.m.).

On Wednesday the value was 52.4;

last Thursday at 61.5.

The target for the next opening steps is 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.

247 new corona infections were reported within 24 hours;

a week earlier it was 366. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus rose by 7 to 1198. 40,512 people have demonstrably been infected with the virus since the outbreak of the pandemic in Schleswig-Holstein.

According to the information, 360 corona patients are currently being treated in hospitals in Schleswig-Holstein.

72 of them are treated in intensive care, 40 with ventilation.
