Putin conferred the rank of generals on a number of law enforcement officials

Including four employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received the rank of Major General, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexei Serko was awarded the rank of Lieutenant General. 

Also, five servicemen of the Rosgvardia were awarded the ranks of lieutenant general and major general, and three more employees of the department were awarded the rank of major general of police.

The President conferred the ranks of Major General of Police and Major General of Internal Service to eight employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Shuliko was promoted to police colonel general.

In addition, two FSIN officers became major generals of the internal service.

Another employee of the service was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.

Also, the deputy head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for St. Petersburg, Dmitry Ivanov, received the highest special rank of Major General of Justice.

In January, Putin signed a decree conferring the military ranks of senior officers to members of the military prosecutor's office and class officials to prosecutors.
