Eskilstuna is already in the process of digitizing elderly care. With medical robots, tablets for care meetings and smart cameras that can detect if the elderly need help, the municipality has been selected from around 10 municipalities to be a model for how elderly care can become more digital.
- We must identify situations where we can replace someone with something, ie a technical aid.
It is also a way to free up resources for those who really need human help in this context, says Christine Gustafsson who is quality and development manager in Eskilstuna.
