At first glance, whale vomit, also called ambergris, is actually of enormous value because of its use in the perfume industry.

Off Yemen, fishermen found 127 kilograms of this substance a few days ago.

They could thus become multimillionaires.

It's vomit that can make you rich.

Very rich.

So much so that fishermen in Yemen should become multimillionaires thanks to him.

This vomit is that of the whale.

A few days ago, four young fishermen spotted a whale carcass off Yemen and pulled it out of the water.

They then decide to autopsy the animal in their own way, by opening its belly.

Good surprise for them: they discover inside it some ambergris ... A jackpot to come.

From "floating gold"

Ambergris is a substance found in the digestive tract of large sperm whales.

It's actually a cluster of whatever they can't digest, like cuttlefish bones or squid beaks.

These agglomerate to form a mass: ambergris.

Its nickname, "floating gold", says it all about its value.

Indeed, the perfume industry is snapping up whale vomit.

And for good reason: thanks to a remarkable property, ambergris helps fix odors.

This property is obviously capital in perfumery, because it allows to preserve the scent of a perfume over time.

The interest of major luxury brands in this substance therefore drives up prices, which even exceed those of gold.

Last year, a Thai fisherman found six kilograms of ambergris.

Sale price: 400,000 euros.

But Yemeni fishermen can hope for much more ... In the stomach of the whale, they found 127 kilos of ambergris!

This whale vomit could well make them multimillionaires.

The highly protected treasure

In a country where the average annual income does not reach 800 euros, the enthusiasm for their small fishing village has been enormous.

The treasure was therefore sheltered and is now protected by dozens of armed men, while waiting to be sold.

It will probably be a wealthy Gulf businessman.

They are already dozens to have positioned themselves.
