In the meantime, arrest warrant has been issued.

Also at the beginning of the week, the police carried out a raid in Berlin-Brandenburg, which was directed against suspects from the same group of perpetrators there, the message said.

The alleged NRW perpetrators had struck on Monday after the investigation shortly before their arrest in Velbert in a gas station.

They had pushed open the door of the gas station with a spreader and within seven minutes had disappeared from the ATM with the cash box.

At that time, the police already knew the whereabouts of the group in a residential building in Essen, according to the report.

After the arrest, a large amount of evidence was found in the apartment, including a large amount of cash.

The getaway car was also secured.

According to the police, the spreader and false license plates were found in it.

According to the police, the gas station robberies had taken place in Velbert, Ratingen, in the Gütersloh, Recklinghausen and Bochum area as well as in the Rhein-Erft and Märkischer districts.
