Berlin (dpa) - After a break, pop star Ed Sheeran has announced a new release.
"I'll go online with the fourth episode of my series later in the year," he wrote on Instagram.
He also shared a photo of a cake he had received on his 30th birthday.
After the worldwide success of his first three solo albums "+", "×" and "÷", Sheeran announced a break on Christmas Eve 2019.
He wants to «take a deep breath, travel, write and read».
Sheeran's fans speculated on Instagram that the “fourth episode” would have to be a new album with the title of another basic arithmetic.
"Subtract is coming!" Wrote several Instagram users under the photo.
The singer and songwriter initially gave no further details about the new project.

Sheeran last had the album “No.
6 Collaborations Project »with guest appearances by 22 prominent musicians.
In December 2020 the single "Afterglow" was released.
The singer apparently wanted to avoid rumors about a new solo album: "This is not the single of a new album, just a song that I like," he wrote on Instagram.
