Georges Tron was convicted Wednesday evening of rape and sexual assault on one of his former employees, Virginie Ettel.

On the other hand, he was acquitted of similar facts on the other complainant, Eva Loubrieu.

The latter is however satisfied with the verdict, as she explains to the microphone of Europe 1.

Eva Loubrieu was not recognized as a victim of Georges Tron.

The former deputy and minister was convicted on Wednesday of rape and sexual assault in a meeting against Virginie Ettel and sentenced to five years in prison, three of which is closed, as well as six years of ineligibility.

Eva Loubrieu, employee of the town hall of Draveil from 2006 to 2009, judged this verdict "could not be more satisfactory", as she explains Thursday at the microphone of Europe 1.

"This decision makes a lot of sense"

His reaction was not immediate.

“Wednesday night, I had a moment of despair when I heard the verdict,” she admits.

"I left the court and Mr. Tron arrived in handcuffs and was driven in the gendarmerie van. It is something that will remain engraved in me", explains Eva Loubrieu.

So, even if the mayor of Draveil was acquitted for the facts of which she accused him, she considers "that this decision has a lot of meaning because it is all a process, a behavior, which has been revealed".

- Conviction of Georges Tron: "It's a relief", confides Virginie Ettel, the victim

And if, in fact, she was not considered a victim by the court, Eva Loubrieu "feels recognized as such and thinks that justice has been held".

She explains that her satisfaction is "not revenge" but liberation.

"I don't have to be afraid anymore. I am a free woman again and I have been heard. Maybe not necessarily in the way I might have hoped, but I have been," says she does.
