Potsdam (dpa / bb) - To clarify the sequence of vaccinations in individual cases, an agency has started in Brandenburg.

The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that this gives the possibility of deciding whether to classify a vaccination at most in the second level of priority.

Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher (Greens) said that with the first Corona vaccination ordinance, people with severe pre-existing illnesses or severe disabilities at high risk of a serious or fatal course of the disease as those from the highest priority level could not have been vaccinated immediately.

Because significantly more people up to 65 years of age could be vaccinated with the Astrazeneca vaccine, people from the second group - i.e. with higher priority for protection - can now also be offered a vaccination.

This also included these individual cases, it said in the message.

According to the ministry, the individual cases for the clearing house are people who, according to an individual medical assessment, have a very high or high risk of a serious or fatal course of illness after a corona infection due to special circumstances.

Well-founded applications for an individual decision can be sent by post to the Ministry of Health in Potsdam.

It is not about people with chronic kidney or liver disease, obesity, intellectual disabilities or severe psychiatric illness.

They could provide a medical certificate for a vaccination and schedule an appointment when it would be their turn as a high priority group.
