Osterrönfeld (dpa / lno) - A trailer truck driver collapsed behind his wheel and drove uncontrollably to a gas station.
In the accident on Thursday morning in Osterrönfeld (Rendsburg-Eckernförde district), damage of around 130,000 euros occurred, the police said.
The truck rammed a car, damaged the trailer of a tractor and finally stopped against the wall of a car wash.
Police officers watched the accident.
The 34-year-old driver of the truck was seriously injured in the Kiel University Hospital.
A 57-year-old man was slightly injured in the car.
A patrol car crew was in the immediate vicinity of a traffic control when the accident happened.
Why the driver of the truck collapsed and lost control was initially unknown.
