The 35-year-old captain has extended his contract, which expires at the end of the season, by one year, as the “lions” announced on Thursday.
With 13 goals Mölders is the most successful shooter of the current third division season and the leading figure on the pitch for the promotion candidates.
As fourth in the table, 1860 is promising in the race to return to the second division.
«In spite of the difficult situation caused by the corona, the club once again expressed their confidence in me and made a fair offer.
The TSV 1860 embodies my own values, the passion for football, ”said Mölders in the club announcement.
The former Bundesliga professional scored 67 goals in 174 games for 1860.
There are also 41 assists.
The success story should continue in the coming season.
Managing director Günther Gorenzel is “happy” about the agreement with Captain Mölders on further cooperation.
