Saarlouis (dpa / lrs) - Around 30 years after an arson attack on a home for asylum seekers with a dead person in Saarlouis, there was another search.

The state security was in an apartment in Saarlouis, said the police on Wednesday.

"The Federal Public Prosecutor hopes that the search of a non-suspected person will provide further clues in the reopened proceedings," the statement said.

According to information from the end of January, the federal prosecutor's office had determined a suspected perpetrator, a right-wing extremist from Saarlouis.

Several searches had already been reported.

A 27-year-old man from Ghana was killed in the arson attack on September 19, 1991 on a former inn used as a home for asylum seekers.

According to the police, there were 23 people in the house during the attack.
