Putin called the actions of foreign IT platforms a serious challenge

He said this at a meeting with the heads of the State Duma factions.

“What you said about these so-called platforms, IT companies, is a serious challenge not only for us.

We see what happened in the States, ”the president said.

According to him, "this is such a watershed across the world as a whole, such an ideological watershed."

“I have already said, I can only repeat: if they behave this way in their own country, you see, how will they treat others, considering themselves exceptional.

This is a serious question, ”the head of state said. 

He noted that Russia should "think about it in advance, this is an obvious thing."

Earlier, Putin instructed to submit proposals for additional requirements for foreign IT companies operating in Runet.

Later it became known about the development in the State Duma of a bill that regulates the opening of representative offices or branches of foreign Internet companies in Russia.
