Erfurt (dpa / th) - Environment Minister Anja Siegesmund (Greens) wants to inform journalists today (1 p.m.) about which flood scenarios are possible for Thuringia with a view to the snowmelt.
The flood news center is currently keeping an eye on the situation, and the water weirs in the communities are preparing accordingly.
Storage space for additional water has already been created in the Saale dams - with a flood retention area for more than 120 million cubic meters of water.
Dams and retention basins of the Thuringian long-distance water supply are also ready for use, the ministry said.
