The suspect was arrested on January 19 and has soon been detained for a month on suspicion of repeated cases of aggravated rape of children and aggravated sexual abuse of children.
On Wednesday, prosecutor Charlotte Genberg requested that he be remanded in custody for child pornography offenses.
- I would request that he be remanded in custody for the previous crimes and during the investigation we have found child pornography at the man's home, I wanted to request that he be remanded in custody for that as well, she says.
The man has a relationship with the child
The suspected rapes and assaults must have taken place from the summer of 2018 to the autumn of 2019.
- It is about a younger child that the man has a relationship with, says prosecutor Charlotte Genberg.
The man is suspected for probable cause, which is the higher degree of suspicion.
He himself denies the crime.
