In 2020, computer attacks increased by 250% on the planet.

All sectors, all countries are affected.

Healthcare establishments are not necessarily the first targets of hackers.

The attacks are often very broad and the sorting of targets is then done according to the fishing.

However, in times of health crisis, hospitals may be in a better position to bow to the pressure.

In France, the media, transport and banking sectors, not to mention digital, have also been targeted.

These are increasingly connected sectors.

However, the growth of resources, in particular of people trained in cybersecurity, does not follow the increasing curve of needs.

French cybersecurity sector still too weak

The president's objective is therefore to develop a French sector that is still too weak and to increase its turnover from 7 billion to 25 billion in 2025 and to double jobs.

In total, 500 million euros will go directly to research and development.

A cyber campus will see the light of day in a few months in the district of La Défense, near Paris, to bring together some sixty public and private companies over 20,000 square meters, while new training courses will be created.

This additional billion will also help hospitals, administrations and local communities to protect themselves because now, no structure, small or large, rich or not, is safe from this digital crime.

After

the cyberattacks on the hospitals of Dax and Villefranche-sur-Saône

, the National Information Systems Security Agency (Annsi) ensures that no ransom will be paid to hackers and is reassuring.

Thanks to backups, the two establishments will be able to recover all of their data within a few weeks.
