Halle (dpa / sa) - During a control in the main train station in Halle, a 35-year-old gave a federal police officer a head-butt.

The man, against whom a house ban was already in place, appeared aggressive and insulting on Tuesday, the Federal Police Inspection Magdeburg announced on Wednesday.

After the attack, he was brought to the ground and tied up, but he resisted.

The federal police officer had nosebleeds after the attack, but no other injuries.

He could continue to do his job.

The ambulance service found slight abrasions on the head of the 35-year-old.

According to the information, a breath alcohol test showed 0.5 per mille.

The man was charged with assaulting law enforcement officers, resisting law enforcement officers, trespassing, insulting and assaulting.
