Berlin (dpa) - The Netzhoppers KW Bestensee have improved their chances of the playoffs of the volleyball Bundesliga.

At the penultimate VCO Berlin, the team of coach Christophe Acht in the Sportforum Hohenschönhausen achieved a clear 3-0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:20) success in 87 minutes of play on Wednesday evening.

Two game days before the end of the main round, the Netzhoppers now have 26 points, but have to fight for the ticket for the knockout round in the remaining games.

The favored Netzhoppers found it very difficult to get involved and quickly fell behind.

The young VCO team acted inspired by the first win of the season at TSV Unterhaching last weekend with a lot of momentum and quickly led 12: 7.

After a tactical break from Netzhoppers trainer Christophe Acht, the cup finalist turned the game around and took the lead with a 9-0 series 16:12 and defended the lead until the set was won.

In the second round, too, the host kept up until 11:11, before the Netzhoppers pulled away with three points and brought about a supposed preliminary decision at 21:15.

But the VCO came up again to 21:22 before the Brandenburgers converted the second set ball.

The third sentence seemed to be a straightforward matter.

KW Bestensee was leading with 5: 1, 8: 2 and 13: 7, but the young volleyball players caught up by 12:14.

Then the Netzhoppers presented themselves very effectively and came to the ninth win in the 18th game, while the season ended for the VCO with a win in 20 matches.
