Hamburg (AP) - The presidium of Hamburger SV with the former German national soccer player Marcell Jansen at the top has resigned.

«Dear members, dear HSVers, after very intensive and goal-oriented discussions in the past few days, we as the Presidium have jointly decided to resign from our Presidium offices with immediate effect and thus no longer relate the last differences of opinion in the Presidium to a topic within our association make », it says in a statement published on Tuesday evening by Hamburger SV eV.

There has been a dispute for months in the leadership of the leaders of the 2nd Bundesliga.

Vice President Thomas Schulz and Treasurer Moritz Schaefer had different views than Jansen on important issues.

Among other things, it was about the candidates for the supervisory board of the football club and the possible sale of further shares.
