On the one hand, the district administrators and mayors should learn firsthand how Merkel assesses the current situation, how she currently sees the threat posed by the virus mutations and what further developments in the fight against the virus could look like.
“That then gives a pan-German perspective, on the basis of which one can also make a corresponding assessment,” said Söder.
On the other hand, it should also be about specific needs and problems of the municipalities.

In his own words, Söder expects an open debate - especially since there are some district administrators who are pushing for the lockdown to be relaxed more quickly.
"It should be an open exchange of views," he said.
"Because it goes without saying that all opinions must be weighted."
He does not see an attack when someone has different opinions.
“It is logical that someone who has lower incidence values in his area naturally wishes for more freedom than someone with higher values.
