Viernheim (dpa / lhe) - A 54-year-old was slightly injured in the fire of a row house in Viernheim (Bergstrasse district).
The man tried to extinguish the fire in his neighborhood on Monday evening, the police said.
The fire broke out in the upper area of a multi-storey row house.
Two youths who were in the burning house were unharmed.
Even hours after the fire broke out, the extinguishing work was not finished as flames had spread to the neighboring houses.
The property damage is estimated at several hundred thousand euros.
