It was noticed that the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received him in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, as Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, who does not hold any government position, was absent from receiving the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi or any of the senior officials in the state.

This is the first visit of its kind for the King of Bahrain to the UAE after the Al-Ula Agreement, which inaugurated the return of relations between the countries that participated in the blockade of Qatar, including Bahrain.

Bahrain has taken an escalating path with Qatar since the signing of this agreement, igniting the fishermen crisis, and the Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Zayani made statements attacking the State of Qatar, which increased the tension, and the official Bahraini media did not stop attacking Qatar after the signing of the agreement.

It is noteworthy that the dialogue began between Qatari officials and all the parties to the Al-Ula Agreement, with the exception of Bahrain, which Bahraini officials complained about, while Qatari sources considered an expression of discontent with the offensive behavior of Manama after the end of the blockade.

It is worth noting that the King of Bahrain did not attend the Al-Ula summit, as Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa was sent on his behalf.
