The IAEA = International Atomic Energy Agency has announced that Iran has announced that it will stop accepting unannounced inspections under the nuclear agreement on the 23rd of this month.

In response, the IAEA's top secretary-general, Grossi, would like to consult with Iran and ask for cooperation in inspection activities.

Iran has warned that if the United States does not lift economic sanctions, it will suspend the implementation of the "additional protocol" that allows unannounced inspections by the IAEA, and is strengthening the shaking of the United States' Biden administration.

Regarding this, the IAEA announced on the 16th that it has notified NHK that Iran will suspend verification activities including unannounced inspections based on the nuclear agreement on the 23rd of this month.

In response, the IAEA has asked the top secretary-general, Grossi, to visit Iran for negotiations.

If unannounced inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities are suspended, it will be difficult to fully verify whether nuclear development will be diverted to the military.

The IAEA is becoming more vulnerable to this situation and would like to ask Iran for the Secretary-General of Grossi to cooperate in the inspection activities.
