Erfurt (AP) - Handball Bundesliga team Thuringian HC has lost two more games in the European League due to the Corona restrictions on the Green Table.
As the THC announced on Tuesday, the EHF has canceled the group C double game day at Baia Mare in Romania, which was planned for February 20 and 21.
The games were counted against the THC, who had already been counted against the game at the Russian club Astrakhan that had not been played.
The THC finished the group last with a win.
«The current restrictions of the federal government regarding the quarantine regulations to and from Romania are without alternative and do not allow implementation.
The safety of the players, leave no leeway for other decisions, ”said the THC.
The evaluation of the canceled games was based on a decision of the EHF Executive Committee from the beginning of December, which gave the association's competition department the mandate that games that could not be played and postponed are evaluated and included in the calculation of the respective competition.
