It was through reconnaissance that the police were able to reveal the drug trade in May 2017. During a house search, the police found 72 grams of cocaine, drug tablets, amphetamines and ecstasy.

In the end, four men in their 40s could be arrested, suspected of having sold cocaine to a large number of people.

The four men are said to have together received swish payments totaling around SEK 450,000 from around 50 people.

Buyers acknowledged

Only a few of these suspicious buyers have admitted, those who refused have not been prosecuted due to lack of evidence.

It is the eight people, aged 23-54, who have admitted who are now facing trial.

They are charged with minor drug offenses and drug offenses of the normal degree.

The trial against the four sellers has not yet been completed because they are abroad.

The hearings at Gotland District Court are ongoing on Tuesday and Wednesday.
