Berlin (AP) - A dog and his mistress broke into the ice of a body of water on a trip to the Berlin zoo.
First, the dog got in and did not come out himself, the police said on Tuesday evening on Twitter.
"Mistress wanted to help him from the ice, but broke in herself," it said.
The water police and a passer-by saved "those who are bitterly cold".
The police and fire brigade have been warning against entering frozen waters for days.
